Accepting a formal offer of employment, and all terms and conditions, will allow us to start the 'due diligence' process - a background check of your impressive credentials, experience and certifications!

In due diligence, you will complete a Marlins test result, obtain a police clearance report and collect all of your past and current certificates of employment to upload for our review. We will independently validate all documentation for legitimacy.

The last step in the administration process to get you ready to be a seafarer. You will need to complete all of the following:

• passing a seafarer's medical examination
• completing applicable safety courses (where necessary)
• getting necessary vaccinations
• completing applicable safety courses (where necessary)
• obtaining the necessary visas ready for travel
• personal preparation and consideration of notice period.
• Additional requirements may be imposed by certain countries, flag states or regulatory bodies, dependent on your nationality and country of residence.

• Your employment will only be confirmed once you pass all onboarding steps and accept a contract for your first shipboard assignment.
• Onboarding may take several days or even weeks, although we will always try to assign you to one of our vessels as soon as possible!
