Position Overview

Responsible for the development, training and assignment of the onboard Casino Hosts. Assists shore side Executives in coordinating Casino marketing operations, the Ocean Players Club, special events, groups and promotions onboard.

Objective

Responsible for the development, training and assignment of the onboard Casino Hosts. Assists shore side Executives in coordinating Casino marketing operations, the Ocean Players Club, special events, groups and promotions onboard..

Primary Job Functions

1. Assist in any duties of a safety nature as requested by Ship’s Command, i.e. safety drills; port manning or gangway duties.

Marketing / OPC

2. Coordinate marketing and advertising projects onboard as required.

3. Assist Marketing Manager and Directors in any required area.

4. Liaise with shoreside Executives, Ship’s management (all departments) and Casino Hosts in all related areas of the OPC and Casino marketing.

5. Maintain Host database, assign Hosts, conduct training and develop the Host position to a level capable of maintaining necessary Casino marketing requirements.

6. Maintain and monitor Cruise Planners for all fleets.

7. Monitor Casino promotions.

Special Events / Groups

8. Control expenses and comply with any auditing requirements.

9. Coordinate groups relative to shipboard requirements (VIP check in, cocktail parties, group guest lists, private tournaments, promotions).

10. Liaise with internal and external agencies to facilitate group requirements.

11. Ensure Global Gaming (GG) Operations guidelines and procedures are followed.

12. Host group and group representatives during their cruise.

13. Coordinate onboard preparation for special events such as an OPC tournament.

Special Projects

14. Assist with any special projects and new marketing initiatives as required.

Requirements

1. Knowledge of the Casino industry and shipboard Operations.

2. Must possess excellent communication skills.

3. Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.

4. Ability to work unsupervised.

5. Ability to develop projects and work as part of a team.

6. Must possess exceptional guest service skills.

7. Must have worked as a Casino Host onboard for a minimum of one year.

Other Skills / Attirubutes

1. Attention to detail and ability to multi task.
