	Background Qualifications Working Conditions Personality Medical Visas/Passports   Qualifications We’re looking for adventurous, fun loving, outgoing people who can cope with the challenges of working and living within a close-knit environment, as well as being highly adaptable and accepting of different cultures. A career in our casinos means promotion is almost exclusively in house and rapid, depending solely on your experience and aptitude. Carnival also provides an excellent job-training program hosted by our large corporate training department. All crew have access to a computer-based training center offering certified courses in languages and computer studies. Dealers Casino Experience The principal games dealt on our ships are Blackjack, American Roulette, Dice and Caribbean Stud Poker. Any applicant for a Dealer position is required to be experienced in at least three of these four games. New employees will take a table test during the pre-employment process before boarding ship. Contract Conditions From the time that you join your ship you are paid $10 per day, paid ($140) every two weeks. The duration of your first contract is 6 months. Promotions It is the company’s general policy to promote from within the existing staff whenever possible and practical. However, during periods of high staff turnover or the arrival of new ships, certain applicants may be hired at supervisory levels. No applicant may be hired as a Supervisor unless they have experience at least in Blackjack, Roulette and Dice. Tips The tips received on the casino tables are divided among the staff once a week. Money is not withheld by the company. If you are absent from work due sickness or other reason you will not receive a share of that day’s tips. Casino Host We are looking for exuberant, convivial individuals to be our casino hosts. Who are outgoing, self-motivated, reliable, responsible and well organized. Who possess computer skills, good written and spoken English and any other languages, above average communication skills, table game experience and/or slot floor experience, previous experience as a host in a casino environment, and marketing experience. Who can represent the casino and the Ocean Players Club, market the Ocean Players Club to our guests, conduct tournaments and promotions, communicate effectively with our players on a one to one basis, be a team player and contribute to the casino operation. Trainee General Cashiers We require you to have cashiering background in bank, building societies or foreign exchange with excellent customer service attitude. Casino Technician We are looking for experienced engineers who have an electrical / engineering / mechanical background to repair and maintain slot machines onboard. Trainee Casino Technicians We require applicants with minimal electrical / mechanical background for this trainee entry position. You will be hired and paid according to your experience and qualifications. Wages for U.S. citizens and U.S. resident aliens (green card holders) are subject to the withholding of U.S. Federal Income Taxes. Wages for all other members of the casino staff are paid without deduction of taxes.
