“With a passion for travelling and different cultures, I found sea life fascinating, and what started as a way to travel became a career! After exploring for a while and visiting most of the places I wanted to see, I became interested in learning more. I learnt the Accounting side of the Operation, and soon became a Cage Manager, and from there, I went on to become a Manager. I have had great experiences onboard the ships – I’ve been on safaris in Africa, jumped from an aeroplane near the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, seen the ballet in Russia and the opera in Buenos Aires. I’ve built a snowman on the ship in the middle of Antarctica, flown over a glacier in Alaska, visited the pyramids in Egypt and Santa Claus’ home town in Lapland! Apart from the travelling, I enjoy working with people from different parts of the world, and getting to know all these people is a very enriching experience. The bonus is that there is an opportunity to develop professionally and there is always a chance to learn something new.”
